Personal Liability Insurance
Most people don't realize all the coverages that are included on a homeowners or renters policy. When you have a homeowners/renters policy, you typically have 'personal liability' coverage included with your policy. This is liability coverage that follows you almost everywhere you go. Say you accidentally injure someone with a golf ball, or accidentally trip someone while you're walking in the mall….guess what, you likely have coverage to the bodily injury or property damage you cause up to your policy limit! It's extremely important you make sure you have adequeate coverage. Most policies offer a standard $100,000 limit, but it's very inexpensive to increase your limit to $300,000 or $500,000.
